Welcome!
The Facebook contest we created in order to crowd-source content for this exhibit indeed blossomed into everything we hoped it would be. We received dozens of beautiful and touching entries from around the country. Hundreds of folks voted in support of their friends, family and favorite shelters & rescues. Thousands more joined our Facebook community, commenting on the photos and sharing their own anecdotes and observations about senior animal adoption. Each one of these buttons leads to a gallery of images and stories – of life and challenge and loss – but mostly of the amazing resiliency of the spirit (both human and furry) to find and hold onto love in all its forms. We feel privileged that so many organizations helped us get the word out on social media – and that so many individuals took the time to share their experiences with us. To honor that generosity, we decided to not only profile the winners, but to include all of the submissions and more. Enjoy!
