Plan Your Visit

We are not open yet (find out how you can help us turn our plans into a reality on our donor, corporate partner, member and volunteer pages!), but we have a clear vision of what we’re working toward:

Admission

Tickets may be purchased at the time of your visit.  Reservations are not necessary, although you may purchase tickets in advance online if you prefer.  Discounts are available for students and seniors.  Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  The Museum is open Wednesday – Sunday.  Please see hours and admission for more information and online purchasing options.

Free Admission

Admission to the Animal History Museum is free to all visitors on the first Wednesday of every month.

Accessibility

All public spaces are accessible to visitors with mobility impairments.

Cafe

A small, chef-driven cafe is available on museum grounds.  The cafe features a rotating menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, lunch entrees and desserts using  fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Parking

Free parking is available at the Animal History Museum parking lot.  Please contact us if you need to make arrangements for groups arriving by bus.

Transportation

Once the Museum finds a permanent location, we’ll update this space for information on public transportation options.  The Museum plans to make a bicycle rack available in our parking lot for visitors’ convenience.  Please note: bicyclists are responsible for supplying their own chains and locks and leave bicycles at their own risk.  See directions for information on how to get to the Animal History Museum by car.

Holidays

The Museum is closed on the following holidays:

New Year’s Eve
New Years’ Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Day
