Pamela: Charlie Girl came to us via friends to the forlorn pitbull rescue in Dallas, Ga. I 1st met her at the animal hospital where I work she was almost furless due to mange and a bad skin infection..we bonded instantly...I wanted to adopt her but couldn't at the time.she was adopted and returned(not her fault)..My husband reluctantly agreed to foster her..She fit in immediately with us,2 dogs and 3 cats..FAILED FOSTER...Fate brought her back to me. There will always be a pittie in my home they r amazing dogs.

Colleen: This is my Bubba. He is almost 11 years old and I adopted him Dec of 2011 after working for Chicagoland Dog Rescue for a few months. I fell in love the first day at orientation and knew he was coming home with me. My husband officially got him for my Christmas present. He leaks pee everywhere and drools more than a Mastiff, But I just love him to pieces!!

Haviva: Our darling Brad Pitt was thrown out the window of a moving car on a highway in the Chicagoland area, someone stopped to pick him up and brought him to animal control. He had road burns and missing teeth, was frightened of men's feet, and brooms. The staff there realized what a great personality he had and found him a placement at the humane society! We were lucky enough to find him, and we adopted him 3 and 1/2 years ago. He is so smart, loves to hike, cuddle, play with other dogs and give kisses to kids. We can't imagine life without out him, he is amazing, he brings joy to our lives!

Brittany: This is my sweet rescue pit Jade. I adopted her from a high kill shelter where she was very ill. We found out she had severe Valley Fever but after years of treatment she is doing amazingly well now. She is the most affectionate dogs I have ever owned. She loves every person she meets and every dog we foster. Right now her current "baby" is a sickly 5lb chihuahua. Jade is my best friend and I am so incredibly lucky to have found her!

Angie: While I might be her "human", Bella has three cats in the house that she shares her bed with, let drink/eat from her bowls and do that cat face rubbing on her! She passed away yesterday from an inoperable brain tumor - no expense was spared to keep her with us for an additional year. There's a hole in my heart, and a hole in the pitty world today!

Laura: Named after Gladys Kravitch from Bewitched because of the jowls,Gladys the love bug pit bull, was a skinny, sad young rednose girl. She was finally adopted... but I got a frantic call at 9pm on a Sunday and I knew I had to pick her up or the adoptive parent might do something bad because she chewed a comforter...what, Gladys chew? That was news to me...... Three couches, five pillows, a bedframe, walls and much much more...she's still my love bug.

Jennifer: My beloved Chloe(L), Delilah(F) and Ezra, kissing my daughter on her birthday. All, except my daughter :) were adopted from the Indiana County Humane Society, Indiana, PA, in 2007, 2008 and 2011, where they were lovingly cared for along with the neverending number of abandoned, abused, neglected and lost pets. They love all the animals and happily they are some super Pit Bull lovers. Due to their dedication, we have a happy Pittie family who live in harmony and peace with my husband and myself.

Michelle: Hello, my name is Wyatt! I like long walks on the beach and sitting by a fire with my humans. All joking aside, I was lost and wandering around the streets all by myself when a nice lady put me in her car. I went to the police station and then a rescue facility. Sadly, no one would take me home for the longest time. Then finally, my mom & dad came to the rescue group and I ran up and licked my dad's face. I knew he was the one. They took me home and now I live happily ever after with my two cat sisters. Sometimes, I still get scared and do bad things, but they still love me and give me treats. My life is good now.

Briana: We adopted Quigley from Wags when he was 4 months old. Two days after he came home, he developed a cold, which quickly turned into pneumonia. He became so sick the vet didn't know if he would make it. We spent a lot of time cuddling and nursing him back to health with medication and a special diet. Now, he’ll be 2 in June, and he still loves to cuddle! Pit bulls are amazing dogs, and deserve a much better reputation than they have. I can’t imagine not coming home to my Q-wiggle Butt!

Amy: Spartacus was adopted from Rolla Animal Shelter in Rolla, Mo. The shelter found him and his brother dumped on a road. He was four months old and was very sick. On October 22nd 2011 my family was looking to adopt a dog from the shelter. We were leaving as he was walking in. It was love at first site for Spartacus and me. He is now our fourth four legged baby. We have two other pits and a rescue boxer. He is the best friend to my 6 year old daughter and 11 year old son. He is truely their nanny dog and we wouldn't want it any other way. He now has his own Facebook page and teaches others what true love is all about.

Holly: Bailey is my pit/lab mix who we found on Craigslist in 2007 at three years old and as his 4th owners. He was "too much to handle" and "too wound up" for these people who impulsively took home a terrier in a rhinoceros body. In this picture he is spending one of about 100 days in bed with me when I broke my back. He has been my rock, he gave me (then more than ever) a reason to wake up and try every day to get better and not feel sorry for myself. He does not judge me however hard I judge myself. I would lay down my life for this dog, my best friend. He saved me and continues to every day.

Laurie: This is Rudy, He was adopted from PAWS out of Norwalk, CT. My boyfriend and I had decided one day that we wanted to get a dog. My brother had heard about an adoption thing going on down in Norwalk so we decided to check it out. Well I am pretty sure we ended up at the wrong place however, it was the best wrong turn we ever made. We looked at a huskey, then a black lab, and finally this boy came waddling into the room and I fell in love. The rest is history.

Jason via Andrea: This is my Husband with our 10 year old American Stafford/Pitbull Terrier Apollo. Apollo was a fighting dog in Trenton NJ and even has a cigarette burn on his head. Yet he is the most loving, loyal, and greatest protector ever. He is my husband in dog form. He loves to swim which is strange for pits. He needs a life jacket because he would drown before he got out. You don't get the dogs you want you get the ones you need. I needed him to pull me out of a depression of losing my best friend at 21yrs old and he did that. I LOVE PITS. I will post our newest member and rescue next.

Andrea: This is Hera my 2 year old American Bulldog Pit mix. She is Super High energy and lovey. I have never seen a dog want as many hugs as her. She loves giving kisses as you can see in the pic. She was a stray that was found in trenton as well. Friendly as anything. She would walk away with a stranger and think they are her new owners. Not as loyal as my other one. But she loves everything except bunnies. She is petrified of bunnies. Yep 70 lb pit bull scared of a fluffy bunny.

Tammy: We were introduced to our beautiful Brandie by my nephew Jordan and his friends Cam and Michelle. Brandie was born at Lied Animal Shelter along with her 7 siblings to a very neglected momma. Thanks to Cam and Michelle all 8 found wonderful homes. Brandie is my husbands special baby and we can't imagine life without her!

Vickie: This is our girl Darla. She is a rescue from Chipley Fla. She was about to be euthanized along with her 3 pups. We brought her and her pups to us planning to find them all good loving homes. We fell in love with Darla and ended up making her part of our family, and found good loving homes for her pups. Darla is such a love bug she eats right beside my 5 lb Chi and has no issues. Darla is one of the babies with a tongue problem, she is constantly kissing us. She came to us very thin but is now as you can see from the pic. she is very beautiful. She now sleeps with us in our bed and is a loving part of our family.

Tina: Sweet William & twins! Abused, tied to a tree, starved, burned with cigarettes, his right eye gouged out, to try to make him fight. He wouldn't. He was rescued, nursed back to health, & I adopted him. He became a therapy dog in the nursing home where I worked, & my "first kid" - the most loving, cuddly, sweetest boy ever. He amazingly loved everyone, despite his abusive past, always snuggled into my lap, & was so lovingly gentle with the twins. We lost him to cancer this past year - it's been the toughest thing we've ever gone through. Love u boy ♥♥♥
